Well, today is the first day of summer! It doesn't really look or feel like the first day of summer though. For all of you new to our area, summer is typically hotter and somewhat dryer than what you've seen the last few weeks. I love the tall pine trees against the blue sky here in the Panhandle; however, I feel like I'm back in England and I haven't seen the sun in days! We usually get an afternoon shower most summer days, but it's pretty unusual for them to last all day and hang around for so long. Of course we have a tropical storm in the area this week, Cindy (who was never this dreary), but that doesn't explain all the rain we've had over the last month. I'm pretty sure nobody wants to be out looking at houses in this weather and the phones are reflecting people's reluctance. There are a few stalwart buyers out there, but not enough to keep my agents in their cars. They are standing ready though if you want to go look at houses. We show in Crestview, Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, Destin and other surrounding areas, so give us a call. We certainly don't mind writing contracts, even on rainy days.......
